Day 7 As I stepped off the elliptical machine tonight, I had to smile at the thought of having completed my first week of LGBC (Lean Gains Burst Cardio).  To celebrate, I achieved a personal best on the machine tonight.  It was the most calories burned in any one session to date, beating my record my 5 (I’d gladly make mention of the number but it means little from machine to machine.  I always use the same machine though).

A strange thing happened with my final sprint tonight..  As out of breath as I could make myself in that final minute, the oxygen was somehow still there and though I was going as hard as I could to finish, I just felt like I couldn’t be stopped.  That’s quite contrary to the usual last minute feeling of wondering if I can even survive that last 20 seconds.  It was strangely delightful.  I’ve had the runner’s high when marathon training but a sprinter’s high?  I didn’t know it existed.  Here’s hoping I get to experience that some more.

In any case, my first full week behind me, I’m feeling better than ever.  I’m excited as I’ve ever been about fitness and I have no doubt that June is going to carry some impressive results with it by month’s end.
