Day 3 of my 7-Day Fast is complete. I had a pretty good day overall. Hunger pains didn’t hit until about 7pm and strangely, they only lasted until 9pm. After that, it was back to the spacey, slow-motion feeling, which I much prefer. While it lasted though, the hunger kicked in pretty good. It happened while my wife and kids were eating spaghetti and meatballs. I had to go for a drive – hit the book store and tried to preoccupy myself for a while which seemed to work.

The new fat is definitely coming off and my body is in full ketosis so I’m burning all fat for fuel. Unlike those horrible ketosis diets that consist of high fat and no carbs and merely burn mostly dietary fat in place of body fat, I’m actually burning body fat since I’m not putting any calories in.

The ketostix strip was neutral last night and light maroon on waking this morning (pictured below). Tonight, it’s as dark as a strip can get.

I might be losing some muscle but so far I haven’t seen it. I’m still hitting sets of every body part throughout the day.

I expected to “do # 2” a bit more during this cleanse. Only twice on day 1, once yesterday and none today. Lots of pee-pee though, as I’m guzzling a gallon of distilled water every day.

No other problems to report. I’m hoping my day four and five parallel the stories I’ve read from others and see the hunger mostly go away. It hasn’t been too much of an issue thus far, but it would be great to not have to think about it at all.
